Mars vs Earth

M VS EOver many years, we have been able to observe the process of  the population doubling in a variety of periods of time. Even the speed of population growth is constantly increasing, which is recently having a huge impact on the quality and condition of factors needed for healthy living. These are essential facts that humanity has to face, facts that are getting us closer to our new home. Living on Mars can be much better than living on Earth. Even right now, when I still live on Earth, I think that Mars is a better place to live.

The first question that might come to your mind is how is human life on Mars even possible? The answer is Elon Musk, the founder of SpaceX and many other companies. As he claimed:

You want to wake up in the morning and think the future is going to be great – and that’s what being a spacefaring civilization is all about. It’s about believing in the future and thinking that the future will be better than the past. And I can’t think of anything more exciting than going out there and being among the stars.’

For many, this might be only a catchy quote, but behind it there is concealed an enormous plan. A plan which will make it possible for humanity to become a multiplanetary species and to engage in another huge exploration, like Columbus in 1492. “Plan which consists of first cargo mission in 2022, and next crew and cargo mission in 2024 that includes also stages of colonizing Mars.” – as explained on SpaceX website. According to journalist Stephen Petranek’s speech during a TED Conference about possibilities of living on Mars, “all we need to make it are basics to keep us alive which are all affordable in many explained ways.”
Let’s focus on the advantages of living on Mars. Have you ever dreamed about escape? Have you ever imagined yourself as a part of something outstanding? Have you ever wished to start over from the bottom? We are living in times when there may soon be an opportunity to no longer be bothered with worldly affairs or personal problems and create a new kind of life. If you think that you were born to make something big, then Musk’s plan is a part of future history which will be extraordinary in humanity’s development. Exploring is part of  human nature, and even if you do not feel like doing it, imagine the feeling of defeating your fear, as this is a kind of fight with yourself, which is always the hardest kind. People would rather stay in their comfort zone and dream, than stand up and do. Nothing in human history has ever been developed and explored without pushing ourselves forward.
Many people would say that Earth is our home and we should take care of it as well as we can. It is true that we should, but not everyone takes it as seriously as others, and sometimes profits are a stronger argument than a healthy environment. With regard  to this, Earth as a destroyed planet is not simply an innocent topic to be discussed, but rather something that is unavoidable, just like overpopulation. Let me give you an analogy which refers to the effects of a hurricane. If your roof is damaged, you are able to fix it, but If you know that in a few days, a hurricane is going to wipe your house off the face of the Earth, then it is a must to find a new home in advance. Every year, humans are disturbing the natural balance of our planet, which is why we have global warming, floods, hurricanes, and new diseases that are difficult to find cures for. What is more, this situation is getting worse constantly. Mars is like a blank sheet of paper which can be completed without any grammar mistakes. Finally, last but not least, my personal argument is the fact that on Mars there are no spiders.
Something that is out of frames always had woken controversy, but after some time finally got a sense. If you could start your life again, would you direct it in the same way with the knowledge you have now? I do not think so. People learn from their mistakes, which is why living on Mars would be much better and healthier. It can be treated like a new start with already gained experience. You might not agree with this right now, but it is more than sure that at least your grandchildren will.
